Souvenir, Souvenir, by Bastien Dubois, graduated from Rubika Supinfocom in 2006, winner of the Emile-Reynaud 2020 prize ! 

Awarded by AFCA members since 1977 to a French short film of the year, the Prix Émile-Reynaud is both a tribute to this pioneer of animation and a recognition of the relationship between his work and that of the creators. contemporaries.

Usually awarded on the occasion of the Animation Film Festival which was held this year from October 14 to 31, the screening and presentation of the Prix Emile Reynaud unfortunately could not take place due to the confinement.

This year, the vote took place entirely online until November 8, 2020. AFCA members thus voted Souvenir, Souvenir by Bastien Dubois (Blast production) which will be granted a one-year subscription to Bref Cinema (paper and digital edition) as well as to the Universciné platform which will also acquire the film. 

Synopsis
For ten years I pretended to want my grandfather talking about the Algerian war. Now I'm not sure I want to hear what he has to say or want to make this film anyway. 

About Bastien Dubois
Born in 1983 in Lille, Bastien Dubois graduated from Supinfocom Rubika Valenciennes in 2006 in 3D animation.

Passionate about travel, he quickly transcribes his journeys into animated film. It was notably with Madagascar, carnet de voyages, his first independent film, that he met with success with more than 200 selections at international festivals including Sundance. The film also got an Oscar nomination in 2011.
He is also the president of the Art Brutal association, which provides support for animated cinema.
